About Us

Anne Yancey has an MBA in Producing from John Paul the Great Catholic University, an MA in Theatre from the University of Houston, BA in Theater Arts and Philosophy from Texas A&M University, and a teaching certificate from Prairie View A&M University. With Family Theater Productions, she worked on the teams that produced PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON, The House That Rob Built, and Native Ball: Legacy of a Trailblazer. Previously, she was a theater educator specialized in directing stage adaptations of classic children’s books and designing curriculum and instruction for the gifted and talented. She is a member of the following professional organizations: Children's Media Association, Influence Women, Film Independent, Creative Mind Group, Educational Theatre Association (Festival Mainstage Director 2003, 2006, 2015; Festival scholarship adjudicator 2007-2014), Texas Educational Theatre Association (presenter: Colorblind Casting), Texas A&M Association of Former Students (presenter: Becoming a Successful Fine Arts Graduate).

Rev. David L. Guffey, C.S.C., serves as National Director and Head of Production at Family Theater Productions in Hollywood, California, which was founded in 1947, and creates faith-based and family-friendly programs for film, television and the internet. Family Theater Productions has recently produced PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON, The House That Rob Built, Native Ball: Legacy of a Trailblazer, The Dating Project,  and Next Level. Family Theater Productions also produces Catholic Central and Lente Catolico,  web series for young people on the Catholic faith, in English and Spanish. David Guffey earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Divinity from Notre Dame, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from Loyola Marymount University. He has written and directed award-winning short films. He currently serves on the boards of The University of Portland, and Notre Dame High School Sherman Oaks. Since 2005, he has lived in residence and assisted at St. Monica Parish in Santa Monica, California.

Robert Fernandez is a seasoned and multi-award winning writer, producer, and director with over 22 years of experience in children’s animation. His work has been translated, dubbed into multiple languages, and distributed globally, reaching audiences around the world. Robert has been instrumental in the creation of popular children’s series such as The Torchlighters, The Adventures of Ryan Defrates, Brother Francis, Carlos Caterpillar, Adventure Catechism, Totally Toddlers and The Jesus Stories. He has also directed animated films including God with Us, The Messengers, To Every Nation, Joseph, and The Pilgrim’s Progress and serves as script writer and animation director for Laugh and Grow Bible. Beyond audiovisual production, Robert has contributed to the development of related publications and ancillary products, broadening the reach and impact of these projects.
